§ FAQ

Ten questions worth asking before a pilot.

The category uses persona, respondent, panel, synthetic, and artificial for different things. These answers state what Antestrata means, what the beta provides, and where the product stops.

  • What an artificial respondent is
  • How respondents differ from personas
  • How evidence, pricing, and the real-user handoff work

What is antestrata actually?

A pre-audience research product. Antestrata selects artificial respondents from a synthesized population, lets them react to the page, price, concept, message, pitch deck, image, or flow you want to test, and returns a decision brief before live research.

What is an artificial respondent?

An artificial respondent is a synthesized individual created inside an artificial population grounded in real-world distributions before a research audience is selected. Each person has an individual life history and can later be found, selected, and questioned as a research participant.

The short version: respondents are created before you search for them. Read the full artificial respondent definition.

How is a respondent different from a persona?

A persona is a constructed portrait of an audience type, segment, or scenario. It can be named and detailed, but its job is to represent a type of user. An Antestrata respondent is an individual member of a generated population.

The practical difference is selection. A persona is made to fit the brief. Antestrata searches for people already synthesized inside the population and selects the ones who match. See the full persona versus respondent comparison.

How are respondents created?

LifecoreML first creates a generated population whose aggregate structure is grounded in real-world distributions. Individual people inside that population are newly synthesized with birth dates, locations, relationships, work and economic context, memories, life events, attitudes, preferences, and behavioural tendencies.

Real-world data grounds the world. It does not become the respondent. No real person is copied or reconstructed. The private generation rules stay private; the resulting people and research evidence are what Antestrata exposes.

What is an artificial panel respondent?

An artificial panel respondent is an artificial respondent selected into a defined, reusable research panel. The person is synthesized before panel selection. Panel membership determines who participates in that research; it does not create the person.

Because respondent identity persists, the same person can take part across studies or later versions without being recreated. Read the artificial panel respondent definition.

Why not just prompt a language model?

A prompted role can be useful for a quick thought experiment. The same task specifies who to act as and asks for the answer.

Antestrata starts earlier. The population and individual lives are synthesized before the research brief chooses an audience. The brief searches for matching people instead of writing the people it later asks to respond.

Are these replacements for real users?

No. Antestrata sits before live research. Use artificial respondents to find objections, proof gaps, confusing assumptions, and questions worth carrying into the real-user round.

Population grounding does not turn a selected panel into a statistically representative market sample. The decision brief is directional evidence for revision and for choosing what to validate with real people next.

How do the reactions come back?

As readable first-person responses with evidence attached. The decision brief can show what the respondent noticed, what landed, what broke trust, where hesitation appeared, which relevant memory evidence fired, and what the run did not observe.

The language layer supplies the wording. It does not create the respondent. The person, biography, relationships, memories, and behavioural context are synthesized before the research question is asked.

What is LifecoreML?

The respondent-synthesis engine inside Antestrata. LifecoreML grounds the generated population, synthesizes individual lives, and keeps respondent identity stable enough for Antestrata to find the same person again.

LifecoreML is not a separate purchase or public API. The public method explains what kind of person is created and how research selection works. The private generation grammar remains proprietary.

How do I request a pilot?

Use the pilot page to submit the page, price, concept, message, pitch deck, image, or flow you want to test, the audience, and the timing. Antestrata replies within one working day. Current founding pilots start at €750.

§ Before the real users.

Bring the version you can still change.

Start with one thing to test, one audience, and one decision. The pilot tells you what deserves revision before live attention is spent.
